Live With Purpose – An Open Letter to Syd Salmon of Eastern Canada

Aaron Walker

If you live to be 75 years old, you’ll sleep an average of 25 years! You’ll spend a total of more than four years driving, 3.5 years eating, nine years watching television, 10 years working, and six months waiting in line. And these are just some of the things we do with our time. That’s why it is important for us to have a plan for each day.

Here are three questions you can ask at the end of each day to help get ready for the following day:

  1. What did I accomplish today? A quick review of the day will help you evaluate the investment of your time.
  2. What is the most important thing I need to do tomorrow? You might have several things you need to do. Prioritize the list and place the most important task at the top.
  3. What can I do right now to get ready for tomorrow? Are there preliminary tasks that need to be done, calls to make, or supplies to gather?

Once you have a clear list of priorities, you will be able to rest better and jump in feet first tomorrow. You’ll wake up with purpose, and that is the first step to an awesome day!

Live with purpose!
